Debbie Bomkamp graduated from SHI, Integrative Medical Massage and Traditional Chinese Acupuncture School, Lebanon, Ohio in 1996.

In 1998, she received her BS in Anatomy, Physiology, and Somatics from the Union Institute, Cincinnati, Ohio.

She is nationally certified by the ARCB (American Reflexology Certification Board) since 1995 as a Certified Reflexologist.

She is a Professional Member of the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association) since 1996.

Debbie is an instructor in Anatomy and Physiology as well as Massage for SHI Integrative Medical Massage and Traditional Chinese Acupuncture School since 1997. She also teaches professional seminars including reflexology.

What is Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy&reg?

"Ashi" means "feet", and "atsu" loosly translates from Japanese as "pressure". This style of massage is the Western adaptation of Asian barefoot massage. Lubricant is applied to the body, and soft, clean, bare feet give a deep gravity assisted Swedish massage.
Parallel bars overhead are used for the therapist’s balance and control. The client relaxes on a massage table throughout the session. The founder, Ruthie Hardee, spent numerous years on research and this modality is a well documented and effective treatment for chronic low back pain.
